Wegmans has announced the opening date of July 13 for its first Washington, D.C. location.
The Wegmans Wisconsin Ave. store is located in Northwest Washington, D.C. at City Ridge. Hiring for the new store is ongoing. Wegmans is also seeking to hire 150 full-time employees staff a new location that is set to open early next year in Reston, Virginia.
Wegmans Reston will be part of the Halley Rise development, which includes commercial, residential, and retail facilities. The new store will include a Market Café, coffee shop, and The Burger Bar. The site will have parking below, residential units above, and is accessible by the Reston Town Center Metro station.
“We bring new employees on board to begin training quickly after they’re hired,” said store manager Katie Sullivan, in a statement. “Our commitment to in-depth training is the main reason we begin the hiring process so early. These jobs provide competitive pay with industry-leading benefits, flexible scheduling, and most importantly, a great place to work.”
