Miso Robotics Collaborates with AWS

Specialty Food Association

Miso Robotics, a food technology company working with restaurants like Panera and Jack in the Box to create robotics and intelligent automation solutions, announced today that it is collaborating with Amazon Web Services.

Together, the companies will test the software powering the Flippy 2 and Flippy Lite robots using AWS RoboMaker, a simulation service to help developers run, scale, and automate simulations. This service will allow Miso to run more simulations, and turn future prototypes into functional products at a quicker rate, according to a statement by Miso.

"Integrating into AWS RoboMaker has been a gamechanger for us to scale our products and make sure the software and its updates are ready to deploy with units in the field," said Chris Kruger, CTO of Miso Robotics, in a statement. "We will go from running 12 simulations a month with single units to doing 100 in a night. By testing hundreds of configurations in parallel, we are able to save costs and develop products faster."

Kruger will present “How Miso Robotics Built an AI-Enabled Robot Fry Cook” at Amazon re:MARS in Las Vegas on June 22. The presentation will cover the challenges that were overcome, and the methods that transitioned the Flippy 2 and Flippy Lite from prototypes to products.
