Ed started his career in the gourmet food/candy industry at Marshall Field's, where he was partly responsible for getting Frango Mints on the map. In 1967, Ed left Marshall Field's and started his own brokerage company covering the Midwest states. Soon Chuck Faso joined, forming Hanson-Faso Associates. After more than 50 years in the industry, Ed retired at the age of 77.
