Sprouts Farmers Market said Monday that it is hiring for two Florida locations for planned debuts in January. Cardenas Markets' parent Heritage Grocers Group also shared that it’s opening a store in Las Vegas.
Sprouts is hiring for 83 full- and part-time positions for a store in Port Charlotte, Florida, and 100 employees for a store in Miami. Some of the available positions include department managers, assistant department managers, and clerks for produce, vitamins and body care, meat and seafood, deli, grocery, bakery, and more. Additionally, cashiers, courtesy clerks, backup receivers, administrative coordinators, and scan coordinators are being fielded.
As with other Sprouts locations, the stores will emulate a farmers' market experience and open layout featuring fresh produce at the center of the store. The offerings will emphasize innovative, seasonal, and attribute-driven products such as organic, plant-based, keto, and paleo among many better-for-you offerings.
The Las Vegas Cardenas Markets will open tomorrow, December 6, and will bring Heritage Grocers’ total store count to 115 locations in six states.
“The Heritage team is excited to expand its presence in the Las Vegas market with the opening of our 58th Cardenas Markets location,” said Doug Sanders, chairman and CEO of Heritage Grocers Group, in a statement. “We strive to deliver an exceptional shopping experience where our customers will find a wide assortment of fresh and authentic products reflective of the local community.”
Location features include:
• A produce department with a variety of ripe, seasonal fruits and vegetables from the USA and Latin America,
• A full-service meat department with fresh cuts of beef, pork, and chicken daily, in addition to a large selection of seafood,
• An authentic Mexican Cocina where customers will find carnitas, tamales, taquería classics, and reduced-price offerings,
• A bakery filled with specialty pastries, desserts, cakes, pan dulce, and bolillos baked fresh daily.
