The first bricks-and-mortar MrBeast Burger has had to boost its staff by 20 percent to accommodate strong demand since it opened on Sept. 4 at the American Dream entertainment complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, a spokeswoman for the restaurant told SFA News Daily.
Launched in 2020 by YouTube mega-celebrity Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, in partnership with Virtual Dining Concepts, MrBeast Burger started out with 300 delivery-only locations operated out of the kitchens of other restaurants across the U.S. It has since expanded to more than 1,700 delivery-only locations in six countries.
The 7,745-square-foot American Dream outlet of MrBeast Burger offers on-site dining only, with seating for nearly 300, the spokeswoman said.
The menu includes smashed burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken tenders, fries, and Impossible plant-based burgers. It also offers several varieties of chocolate bars from Donaldson’s own brand, Feastables, including Milk Chocolate, Original Chocolate, Quinoa Crunch Chocolate, Chocolate Sea Salt, and Almond Chocolate. Other treats on the MrBeast menu include ice cream sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies.
The restaurant also features a retail store selling MrBeast Burger T-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, and other merchandise.
At the Sept. 4 grand opening, an estimated 10,000 fans packed into American Dream, chanting, “MrBeast” and cheering to see Donaldson, who is known for his arduous stunts — he counted from 1 to 100,000 in one of his first videos — through which he has raised millions of dollars for various charitable causes.
“We are so excited to be here today at American Dream to open our first physical MrBeast Burger,” said Stephanie Sollers, who earlier this year was named CEO of Virtual Dining Concepts, in a video from the grand opening. “The energy is super real.”
In July 2022, MrBeast became only the second YouTube personality channel to surpass 100 million subscribers on a single channel. Donaldson has more than 200 million subscribers across all his channels and more than 25 billion views.
At American Dream, MrBeast Burger joins a mix of dining concepts that include national chains, such as Five Guys and Dunkin’, and smaller, local operators such as the Lady M boutique bakery, Vanessa’s Dumpling House, and Best Pizza.
“American Dream is a world-class destination with one-of-a-kind experiences and first-to-market concepts, designed to delight a multi-generational audience,” Don Ghermezian, CEO of American Dream, said in a statement. “MrBeast is the worlds’ greatest content creator. His passion for creativity, powerful brand and philanthropic nature aligns perfectly with the American Dream vision.”
