Italian-inspired specialty shop and restaurant destination Eataly said it will be opening in The Mall at Short Hills in Short Hills, New Jersey, reports local news source TAPinto. Construction on the location has already begun.
Founded in Turin, Italy in 2007, the food destination has since expanded to Chicago; Boston; Los Angeles; Dallas; Las Vegas; Silicon Valley, California; two New York locations; and Istanbul.
The New Jersey store will have features including various restaurants and cafes, a pasta bar, a meat and cheese counter, a pizzeria counter, and a gelato shop. Italian groceries and household items will also be available for purchase.
The new location will also likely hold classes and events related to Italian cooking and culture, as in its other locations.
The retailer recently partnered with DoorDash on grocery delivery capabilities. Currently, the online grocer’s technology powers all the specialty market’s U.S. locations. Full Story
