Amazon has closed the last of its two Fresh Pickup facilities, ending its experiment with a drive-in and drop-off grocery service, reports The Seattle Times.
Amazon launched Fresh Pickup sites, were customers who had placed a grocery order online would pick up their order at a scheduled time, in 2017. Amazon never expanded its Fresh Pickup stores outside of Seattle.
“Like any retailer, we periodically assess our portfolio and make optimization decisions around how we operate,” spokesperson Jessica Martin said. Full Story
