Whole Foods Market CEO Jason Buechel unveiled the grocer’s 10-year vision, calling it Growing with Purpose, during its first quarterly town hall meeting of the year.

To achieve its vision, the company will increase and invest its profits while focusing on the following four priorities: creating the best customer experience in stores and online, investing in employee growth and happiness, delivering high-quality business performance, and expanding reach to serve customers in new ways.

“I’m so excited to share how we will deliver on our higher purpose, including commitments to environmental stewardship, significant financial investment into our Team Member experience, plans to set company records for new store growth, and the possibility of reaching new markets around the globe in the next decade,” said Buechel in a statement. “These are achievements that would have been beyond imagination when the first Whole Foods Market opened in Austin, Texas, more than 40 years ago.”

Last year, Buechel engaged directly with employees, suppliers, customers, and community partners, across every region, to inform its vision.

Whole Foods Market continues to grow to 534 stores across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., most recently adding its One Wall Street store in New York.
