Wegmans announced that its newest location in Reston, Virginia opens today. The 85,000-square-foot store employs 425.
The store features a produce section with fresh and organic fruits and vegetables, and a cheese shop with local, domestic, and global artisan cheeses. It also includes a seafood department with fish delivered daily.
The location offers an extensive alcohol section with approximately 1,200 wines and 500 varieties of domestic, craft, and imported beers and ciders. Restaurant foods prepared by executive chef Vinny Tacci and his culinary staff of 95 include sushi, pizza, wings, soup, and made-to-order salads and sandwiches.
Food and beverage delivery and in-store pickup from the prepared foods section are available via the grocer’s Meals 2GO app.
Reston is Wegmans’ 110th store overall and 15th in Virginia.
