Hiring and training are underway for Wegmans Food Markets’ first store in Northwest Washington, D.C. at City Ridge. The 84,000 square-foot supermarket will be part of the historic building formerly occupied by Fannie Mae’s headquarters and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2022. A market cafe, coffee shop, and casual restaurant, as well as parking and accessibility to the Metro, will round out the market.
Wegmans plans to employ approximately 450 people at this location, including 150 full-time positions. The majority of employees will be hired locally. Available full-time positions include everything from entry-level management to customer service, overnight grocery, and culinary roles.
