Walmart has begun offering late-night delivery from over 4,00 stores across the U.S., shared Tom Ward, EVP and chief ecommerce officer of Walmart U.S., in a blog post.
The feature, called “Late-Night Express Delivery,” will allow delivery until 10 p.m. on orders placed by 9:30 p.m.
“This is about more than just staying up late – it's about building a suite of Pickup and Delivery options that prioritize convenience, speed and putting the customer at the very center,” said Ward.
This offering comes in addition to recent innovations including real-time text communication between shopper and customer to ensure substitutions and further expansion of Walmart+ InHome, a service that delivers items directly to customers’ fridges and countertops. Full Story
