Walmart reopened its Secaucus, New Jersey supercenter on Friday, reports New Jersey Business. The update is part of the company’s $75 million investment in 11 New Jersey stores.
The store transformations will create expanded shopping options, according to the retailer.
“I’m excited to offer New Jerseyans yet another Walmart ‘Flagship Store’ experience, adding the Secaucus store transformation to our innovative Flagship stores in Teterboro and North Bergen,” said Walmart regional general manager Nico Vassol. “Adding this investment to our free college for our associates through Live Better U, to sourcing $15.3 billion in products from New Jersey suppliers, to hosting free wellness events in local communities—Walmart continues to show our commitment to invest in the communities we serve here in New Jersey.”
Updated store features include:
• Displays showcasing products out of boxes to give customers insight into the item.
• Expanded electronics department, pet department, clothing department, and cosmetics department.
• Reconfigured layout with well-shopped areas merchandised in the front of the store.
• Checkout improvements like Walmart+ checkout lanes exclusively for members.
• Digital touchpoints available via QR code and digital screens that share Walmart products and services.
To commemorate the reopening, the company presented $11,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations. Full Story
