Walmart Cuts Corporate Jobs
Walmart is laying off hundreds of corporate employees and asking remote workers to return to the office, reports the Wall Street Journal.
Walmart has gradually moved away from remote work flexibility, according to the report. It has also decreased the number of its smaller offices around the country. Last year, it closed three tech offices and asked some staff to relocate to central corporate hubs.
The retailer has worked to cut costs over the past year in some areas as it prioritizes spending in others. For example, last month the company said it would shut its 51 health clinics as it endeavored to build a bigger healthcare business. Full Story (Subscription Required)
