Vegan Grocer Launches Crowdfunding Campaign

Specialty Food Association

Vegan Fine Brands, a plant-based grocery chain, has begun an equity crowdfunding raise today through StartEngine, which will enable it to bring its retail experience across the country through both company and franchisee-run locations, according to the company. The flagship location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida  features a wine bar and adjacent Vegan Fine Body store that stocks natural beauty and grooming products.

In a statement Steven Smith, founder and CEO of Vegan Fine Brands, spoke about his personal connection to the business, “I spent years living in food deserts with little to no accessibility to nutrient dense foods and I see how damaging that can be for underserved communities."

However, Vegan Fine Brands’ customers come from all walks of life. "We have customers that are Miami-based celebrated musicians, athletes, and performers and we get the business community and families from Broward and Dade Counties and beyond,” Smith said. "And because all of our brands are plant-based, non-GMO, and ethically sourced ingredients, customers do not need to read labels."
