Trader Joe’s will open a new location in Harlem, it’s 13th in New York City, in 2023, reports the New York Post. The 28,000-square-foot location will be at 121 W 125th St., where a new Target store is also being opened. This is part of a “Harlem retail renaissance” that has brought major national brands to the neighborhood.
In a statement, Trader Joe’s said the Harlem opening was tied to its diversity goals. “We are focusing on neighborhood diversity as an important factor in selecting new store locations,” it said.
