DiversityInc has announced its top 50 list of companies that hire, retain, and promote, women, minorities, people with disabilities, veterans, and LGBTQIA+ people.
The company utilizes comprehensive surveys, and diversity and inclusion analysis to assess each company’s success in the following areas: leadership accountability, human capital diversity metrics, talent programs, workforce practices, supplier diversity, and philanthropy, according to the company.
Food-related businesses had a strong presence on the list. Notably, The Hershey Co., Kellogg Co., Walmart, Target, PepsiCo, and McCormick & Company were included in the top 50.
“Board and senior management accountability and a measured focus on equitable access to talent development programs were two areas of marked improvement of this year’s survey participants,” said Carolynn L. Johnson, DiversityInc’s CEO.
