The nonprofit food and beverage incubator, The Hatchery Chicago, recently announced their Private Kitchen Pitch Contest presented by Midwest Dairy, a nonprofit organization for dairy farmers. The contest will support emerging brands by giving them access to commercial kitchen space, and business growth services.
“Innovation is needed to sustain and grow consumer confidence and demand for dairy products,” said Midwest Dairy’s research and innovation manager, Robin Brown, in a statement. “We’re excited to partner with The Hatchery to help bring innovation to the dairy category.”
The winner will receive six months of free access to a private kitchen space within The Hatchery’s 67,000-square-foot facility. Additionally, they will have access to co-working and private meeting spaces, dry, cold, or freezer storage, on-site business planning opportunities, and incubation services to accelerate business growth. Other prizes include membership and mentorship opportunities and $1,000 in equipment credits.
Applicants must use 25 percent or more of cow’s dairy milk in their ingredient base to be considered for entry. The application closes on Thursday, June 30, and the competition will take place this fall, at The Hatchery in Chicago.
