H Mart, a specialty grocer offering Asian food and products, has revealed plans to open in the Fort Worth, Texas area, reports Paper City Magazine. The location will be a featured tenant inside a 50-acre mixed-use development in a Fort Worth suburb called Haltom City.
The H Mart shopping center will likely include clothing, eateries, tea shops, coffee shops, and groceries inside its footprint.
“The store will feature a sit-down food court, a bakery, home goods, beer and wine, kitchenware, beauty products, and many other items,” said H Mart in a statement. “H Mart is also known for its innovative new food halls which are an extension of over 30 years of providing eateries in its stores.”
The surrounding area features significant populations of Vietnamese, Laotian, and Chinese diaspora, according to the report.
“We are particularly excited and humbled that H Mart has chosen to locate their seventh Texas store in our city,” Haltom City mayor Dr. An Truong said. “H Mart is one of the fastest-growing grocery chains in America and Canada. H Mart will improve and expand our shopping experience.”
The development is in the approval phase with construction expected to begin in early 2024. Full Story
