Sprouts will open locations in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Westminster, Maryland. The Las Vegas store will open on May 5.
“We are thrilled to have another Sprouts Farmers Market taking roots here in the City of North Las Vegas,” said City of North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown, in a statement. “The timing is perfect for the addition of this Sprouts location; it will provide convenient, healthy food access to Northeast residents, those utilizing Craig Road, our on-base military members, and more.”
The grocer is working with local farmers like Nevada-based Peri and Sons Farms to source produce. To give back to the community, the location will also donate edible groceries no longer fit for sale to Three Square Food Bank, a local nonprofit.
The Westminster store is slated to open late next year. It will be the sixth Sprouts in Maryland. The location will feature fresh produce at the center of the store, along with seasonal and wholesome offerings.
“We are thrilled to bring a wide selection of quality products that cater to a healthy lifestyle to the Westminster community,” said David McGlinchey, chief strategy officer of Sprouts, in a statement. “Sprouts offers fresh seasonal produce, custom-cut meats, vitamins and supplements, ready-to-eat meals, dietary options such as gluten-free or paleo, and thousands of other natural, organic, non-GMO, vegan, and plant-based products.”
