Sprout Farmers Market now carries three African Dream Foods' hot sauce flavors.
The following flavors launched at a California Sprouts store and will soon be available across the state: African Ghost Pepper Sauce, Sweet Dream Sauce, and Lemon & Garlic Peri-Peri Sauce. The sauces are all-natural, gluten-free, and vegan, and are produced in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Sweet Dream Sauce has a chutney-like consistency with mild spiciness, the African Ghost Pepper Sauce is very spicy, using the ghost pepper as a primary ingredient, and the Lemon & Garlic Peri-Peri Sauce has a mild spice with both sweet and savory notes and won the 2022 sofi New Product Award in the hot sauce category.
“When ADF began exploring a retail strategy, it was of critical importance to find a grocer with a shared commitment to the give-back aspect of business, especially as today's consumer increasingly gravitates toward brands that align with their values and priorities,” said David Schmunk, founder and managing director of African Dream Foods, in a statement. “With African Dream Foods’ focus on farm-fresh produce, authentic African flavor, with a mission to support wildlife conservation and fair-trade farming practices, Sprouts was a perfect choice.”
In step with the company’s philanthropic endeavors, for every 5-ounce bottle purchased at Sprouts, the company will contribute 10 cents to African wildlife conservation organizations.
