Specialty Food Association

The Specialty Food Association has partnered with The Food Institute, a trusted source for industry news, data, and trends since 1928, to provide live event coverage at the Summer Fancy Food Show, which runs this Sunday through Tuesday at the Javits Center in New York City.

SFA partnered with FI for the pilot broadcast project to facilitate an interactive, multi-dimensional experience for both in-person and virtual audiences. Live coverage from the Show floor will include interviews with SFA staff, exhibitors, industry insiders, trendspotters, sofi Award winners, and more. It will take place Monday, June 13 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Tuesday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“We’re so pleased to collaborate with a trusted source like The Food Institute to expand our coverage of the Summer Show and use new content platforms to showcase the products, trends, and news that make it the premier specialty food and beverage event in the industry,” said Denise Purcell, SFA’s vice president, content and education.

The on-site coverage team will be anchored by Susan Choi, FI’s director of Digital Media. Susan is a veteran TV journalist whose resume includes stints at ABC News and NBC News. FI will also have a team of on-the-ground reporters and analysts conducting live interviews from different locations on the Show floor and providing commentary on the latest trends that could shape the specialty food industry in the months and years ahead.

“The Fancy Food Show is one of the most reputable food industry events of the year,” said FI CEO Brian Choi. “I’m excited to partner with SFA to help bring a fresh new content experience to both in-person and virtual attendees through great journalism, creative programming, and the latest technology.”

Attendees can experience the livestream via specialtyfood.com, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook. In-person attendees can also visit the SFA Media Center, Booth 6721 on the show floor. Participants can ask questions and leave comments both in-person and virtually.
