La Fromagerie Henri Hutin, Salsa Queen, and African Dream Foods have all recently received recognition for their efforts to provide high-quality specialty food in their respective categories.
At the World Cheese Award competition in Wales, La Fromagerie Henri Hutin accumulated four awards: bronze for both its Brie Couronne’s Double-Crème Brie and Tours de Paris’s Brie, silver for its Belletoile Triple-Crème Brie, and gold for its Belletoile Spreadable Fresh Goat Cheese.
“It is such an honor for our cheesemakers to not only win a number of awards in the Brie category, but to be the only French product to do so,” said Christel Vibrac, export manager of La Fromagerie Henri Hutin, in a statement.
Salsa Queen, a Mexican salsa and dip maker, was voted the “Best Made-In-Utah Food Product” by City Weekly.
“There were over 160K voters in this year’s survey, so we’re deeply humbled to be selected,” said Jim Birch, Salsa Queen CEO, in a statement. “This has been a family affair from the very beginning, and we are so pleased to hear our community loves our dips and salsas as much as we love making them. Family and community are at the heart of everything we do.”
African Dream Foods, a sauce maker, won first place in the barbecue sauce category for its Southern Braai Fermented Vintage BBQ Sauce at the Scovie Awards. The product was up against entrants from 37 states in the U.S. and across 12 countries.
“We are so proud to be representing authentic African flavors in the U.S. and are excited to share our awesome Southern Braai Sauce with anyone who wants something unique for their next BBQ!” said David Schmunk, founder and managing director of the company in a statement.
