Publix and Instacart have debuted Carrot Warehouses to initiate a 15-minute delivery service in Miami’s Brickell, Coral Gables, and Wynwood neighborhoods for residents to order food or household items offered at Publix at any time of the day.
Publix is the first grocer to collaborate with Instacart through Carrot Warehouses, an Instacart-operated network of nano-fulfillment locations that stock thousands of fresh and shelf-stable Publix items at a larger selection than the industry standard to ensure items are almost always in stock, according to Instacart's statement.
Publix and Instacart have collaborated on other omnichannel services like curbside pickup, delivery and pickup of specialty and alcoholic items, and EBT SNAP payment acceptance.
"As we continue to evolve our e-commerce strategy, 15-minute delivery is another example of how we're committed to meeting our customers wherever they are – whether it's in-store or online for a convenience need," said Erik Katenkamp, vice president of omnichannel & application development at Publix, in a statement. "Instacart's suite of solutions allows us to unlock and roll out 15-minute delivery in a major metro area like Miami. Introducing nano-fulfillment centers powered by Instacart Platform is another step in our omnichannel strategy, and we look forward to continuing to exceed our customers' expectations."
Customers can access this delivery service through the Publix or Instacart app, or on Publix’s website.
