Specialty Food Association

Presidente Supermarkets, an independent Hispanic grocer, will introduce a wholesale concept in central Florida this year, which will sell products in bulk to low-income shoppers, reports Progressive Grocer.

The first store will occupy an approximately 100,000-square-foot space and operate similar to a BJ’s Wholesale Club or Costco. The grocer has not decided whether it will charge a membership fee.

Presidente plans to have seven grocery stores in central Florida by the close of the year. Full Story
