Specialty Food Association

Following success in New York City, Los Angeles, and Austin, Pop Up Grocer is headed to Chicago, opening April 30 in Wicker Park, reports Progressive Grocer. The month-long installation will highlight a variety of products including ones that are Chicago-, women-, and BIPOC-owned.

Pop Up Grocer offers hundreds of products, all of which are natural and most of which are plant-based, across food, beverage, home, pet, and body care categories. Two new categories, baking mixes and non-alcoholic beverages, will be launched in Chicago. In addition, Michelin-starred Elske is the grocer’s café partner, offering a daily selection of cookies and baked goods.

“We select our pop-up locations at the point where demand from our community and demand from our participating brands meet,” said founder Emily Schildt. “Chicago has come as a consistent request from both ever since we launched two years ago, and we are thrilled to bring our best product assortment yet to a city known for its love and appreciation of food, creativity and art.” Full Story
