PCC Community Markets Rolls Out Self-Checkout

Specialty Food Association

PCC Community Markets is rolling out self-checkout kiosks across its locations.

“PCC felt it critical to provide this option, in addition to full-service checkout and delivery via Instacart, to offer shoppers a range of solutions that best meet their needs,” the co-op said in a statement.

The kiosks, which are cash-free and accept all forms of contactless electronic payment, are scheduled to be implemented across all stores by the end of the summer.

To ensure the health and safety of staff, members, and shoppers, PCC is still enforcing a number of protocols, including “clean teams” that sanitize all high touch areas, air filtration, limiting store capacity to 50 percent, and encouraging social distancing.
