Panera to Retire Select Caffeinated Drinks
Panera Bread is phasing out “Charged Sips,” a line of caffeinated drinks that have been the subject of various lawsuits over the past few months, reports Reuters.
Many allege that the drinks have caused health problems. In 2023, a customer with a heart condition died after drinking Panera Bread’s Charged Lemonade, according to a report. The retailer said it plans to introduce new drinks with low-sugar and low-caffeine options.
According to the company’s website, the Charged Sips come in a 64 fluid-ounce cup that contains between 1615 mg and 2155 mg of caffeine. Full Story
