Meijer will open a 155,000-square-foot supercenter in West Branch, Michigan, on May 12.
“Local residents and new customers have been incredibly welcoming every time we open a store in our home state where the supercenter was born,” said Jason Beauch, Meijer regional vice president, in a statement. “Over the last two years, our store teams have helped families meet unprecedented challenges by providing fresh grocery options and supporting their pharmacy needs, so we look forward to opening the doors for our new neighbors in West Branch.
While weekly Meijer sales at the new location will begin when doors open on May 12, the supercenter will also feature special promotions and events as part of its grand opening activities.
Beauch said the supercenter will offer grocery, fresh produce, bakery, meat, and deli, as well as a floral area and garden center. Other departments will include pharmacy, pets, electronics, toys, sports, and apparel. Additionally, a Meijer Express gas station adjacent to the new location will open tomorrow.
