Las Vegas' Cosmopolitan Hotel is home to Block 16 Urban Food Hall, which was a first-of-it-kind spot on the Vegas Strip when it opened in 2018. Check out this dining destination which was modeled after the trendy food halls getting raves and drawing foodies in New York City and Los Angeles, when you attend next week's Winter Fancy Food Show. Occupying 4,600 square feet on the second floor of the luxury hotel, Block 16 has kept guests coming with its creative options in a fast casual setting.
The food hall offers six “culinary experiences,” as the venue calls them. Bang Bar by Momofuku, headed by David Chang, serves up Asian-inspired spit-roasted meats, sides, and flatbread sandwiches. Ghost Donkey, originally launched in New York City, is a tequila and mezcal lounge for Mexican spirits and snacks, such as truffle nachos. Hattie B’s Hot Kitchen hails from Nashville, bringing its hot fried chicken (the five heat levels range from mild, medium, and hot to damn hot and the blistering “shut the cluck up”) and traditional Southern sides. Lardo, from Portland, Oregon, puts together overstuffed creative sandwiches, and saki spot Tekka Bar prepares fresh seafood and sushi rolls, including a signature tuna roll, right at the counter. District: Donuts. Sliders. Brew is a New Orleans-based comfort food favorite crafting biscuit sandwiches, waffle cheese fries, and donuts in more than 100 rotating flavors.
Visitors to Block 16 describe it as spacious and easy to navigate, with a decent amount of seating and accessible prices in the $7-$20 range per menu item. Fancy dining it’s not, but after shopping the Strip, playing the slots, or seeing a show, the food here will hit the spot. Block 16 is located close to the hotel’s Marquee Nightclub and Dayclub, so expect it to be hopping from early morning to closing at 10 pm. (Individual restaurants set their own hours, so check their websites.)
