Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has appointed veteran food industry executive Stacy Peterson as CEO. Peterson will assume the role next month.
Peterson is known as a thoughtful leader, with an eye for talent, according to Jeni's. She recently served as chief revenue officer of Wingstop, where in her nine-year tenure she has also served as CEO and chief digital and technology officer. Peterson helped grow Wingstop from 550 restaurants to 1,900. She also led Wingstop’s digital and marketing transformation, and built digital experiences that enabled industry-leading momentum. Prior to her roles at Wingstop, she held leadership positions at Service King, FedEx Office, and CBRE.
“I’m excited to join Team Jeni’s and help carry on their commitment to making better ice creams and bringing people together,” said Peterson in a statement. “What Jeni created, with quality as the company’s North Star and a tremendous focus on customer experience and a team commitment to be a Force for Good, will continue to be what differentiates this company from our competition.”
Jeni’s outgoing CEO John Lowe announced in June that he was stepping aside after 13 years. He will remain on its board.
“I’m so excited to have Stacy lead our team. The company will benefit from her thoughtful approach and deep expertise in fast-growth brands,” said Lowe in a statement. “She loves helping people succeed and I’m excited to see her coach and mentor the 1,800 members of Team Jeni’s. I know her leadership will help ensure we are a force for good for years to come.”
