Island Pacific Supermarket, a Filipino-American grocery chain, has announced the appointment of Christine Peebles as chief marketing officer.
Peebles has a background in strategic brand building, a track record of success in the CPG industry, and a commitment to driving growth for iconic brands, including those at The Hershey Company, PepsiCo, Nestle, and Avery Products, according to the retailer. Her accomplishments range from driving revenue and profit growth to developing and executing brand strategies.
Peebles was born in the U.S., but lived as a young child for four years in the Philippines. She has maintained a strong connection to her Filipino heritage and understands the importance of culturally relevant experiences in the grocery industry. Her appointment as CMO at Island Pacific Supermarket further strengthens the company's commitment to serving its diverse customer base and celebrating Filipino food and culture, according to the retailer.
