Instacart, the online grocery platform, announced yesterday the introduction of Cart Star, a shopper rewards program that will offer special deals and opportunities for frequent users.
Cart Star offers tiered rewards depending on the frequency of use: Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. The tailored rewards and offerings will be provided through both third-party partners, like Care.com, and Instacart directly.
"Shoppers are an important part of the Instacart community, helping us invite the world to share love through food," said Tom Maguire, vice president of operations and care at Instacart, in a statement. "They balance empathy and efficiency with communication and problem-solving, and we're thrilled to unveil our Cart Star program to recognize top shoppers with impactful incentives that help them stand out to their customers, improve their access to earnings, and reach their personal goals."
To qualify, shoppers must maintain an average 4.7 customer rating, and earn specific points to qualify for each tier by making orders on the platform.
The program was developed both as a result of shopper feedback, and to recognize and reward its shoppers.
