Instacart, DoorDash Partner With Regional Grocers
Canseco’s Market, Harps Foods, and Price Chopper will all use Instacart to power their ecommerce websites, and independent, family-owned grocer Rouses Markets will leverage DoorDash’s platform for online delivery, according to the online grocery platforms.
Instacart said today that Canseco’s Market, Harps Foods, and Price Chopper will use Instacart Storefront, the online grocery delivery platform’s turnkey ecommerce tool, for their online grocery operations.
“Instacart is the only end-to-end omnichannel technology provider focused specifically on grocery, and Instacart Storefront makes it easy for grocers to build e-commerce storefronts for web and mobile that reflect their unique catalog and brand,” said Alice Luong, director of market strategy & planning for ecommerce at Instacart, in a statement. “With fulfillment baked in, Instacart Storefront is the fastest way for grocers to get their e-commerce up and running while providing customers with a top-notch experience. The platform allows grocers to offer same-day priority delivery as fast as 30 minutes, schedule-ahead delivery, and pickup.
DoorDash said Monday that it will offer on-demand grocery delivery at all 64 Rouses Markets locations across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Customers can use the service to purchase specialty items, general groceries, prepared foods, and household essentials, said DoorDash.
