Imperfect Foods, the sustainable grocery delivery service, announces Corey Farrell as the chief operating officer, Kelly Nigh as the chief merchandising officer, and Hetu Patel as the chief financial officer. The trio, all from Amazon, signals a tech-forward initiative toward ecommerce and customer experience.
Farrell comes with experience running and supporting Amazon Prime and private brands within the grocery and consumables segment of Amazon. Nigh will focus on reducing food waste by partnering with Imperfect Foods’ supplier network, eventually creating a private label line. Patel’s experience in ecommerce and subscription services will “play a significant role in the next phase of Imperfect Foods’ growth,” as mentioned in a statement.
“Hetu, Corey, and Kelly each have exceptional backgrounds in rapidly scaling ecommerce businesses,” said Dan Park, Imperfect Foods CEO, in a statement. “Combined, that expertise will allow us to grow the business, while simultaneously improving the customer experience and deepening our commitment to reducing food waste. By bringing in new best-in-class talent, we’re able to continue on our mission in a meaningful and reinvigorated way, further optimizing our internal operations and optimizing the customer experience.”
Imperfect Foods, a certified B Corporation, was founded on an eco-conscious pursuit of eliminating the 35 percent of food that eventually ends up in landfills each year.
