Hy-Vee to Host Small Business Summit

Hy-Vee will host a small business event in Kansas City, Missouri in September. The Hy-Vee OpportUNITY Inclusive Business Summit offers learning opportunities and resources from Hy-Vee and other business leaders.

The summit is free and open to the public and offers programming and resources for current and aspiring small business owners. Some activities include a business expo with networking events, breakout sessions, and mentoring opportunities.

The event also features a live pitch competition that is open to minority- and women-owned businesses. Fifteen finalists will be selected to compete for cash prizes to use for their businesses. The retailer is looking for contestants in the following categories: food and beverage, technology and innovation, and health and wellness. Those interested in participating in the competition can apply through August 11, 2024.

The retailer will award up to $50,000 in cash investments during the competition.
