He indicated that after the store transitions ownership, Hy-Vee will retain the independent's current staff. A family-owned company, North Scotts Foods served the Eldridge, Iowa community for 45 years.
“As most of you have heard by now, I am retiring and have sold our business to [Hy-Vee],” Grolmus said in a Facebook post. “We have been approached a number of times in the last few years and have decided the time is right. This transition will take place in early April.”
Hy-Vee operates over 285 stores across eight states and supports a team of 93,000 employees. The retailer is employee-owned. Full Story
