Snack makers, many of whom will showcase their products from the Summer Fancy Food Show's Confectionery, Snacks and Sweets Pavilion, have innovated on ingredient types, sourcing methods, and production processes to make ready-to-eat snacks healthy and delicious. Often accompanied by vegan, non-GMO, or organic certifications, these snacks offer a cleaner alternative to traditional snacking.
Inner Love’s Activated Air-Dried Walnuts will debut at the Summer Show, which kicks off Sunday. Sweetened with organic maple syrup, the product is vegan, gluten-free, and made with 99 percent organic ingredients. Samples will be available at Booth #7529.
“Our process neutralizes the naturally occurring anti-digestion enzymes in nuts,” said Stefanie Jasper, founder and owner of Inner Love, in a statement. “This process actually makes the nutrients bioavailable during digestion.”
Another company, Naera, will debut a Jalapeno Very Gouda Crunch variety of its Icelandic Skyr Snacks. Rich in A2 proteins and free from gluten, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, and GMOs, these snacks are popped crunch cheese products made from Icelandic cow milk. Samples will be available at Booth #858.
“Our Saga has just begun! We are thrilled to be bringing the goodness of Iceland to the snack isle. Our snacks are made from superdairy proteins and ingredients from pristine Icelandic nature,” Naera said in a statement.
Alice’s Sweet Tooth will showcase a new line of mini cookies that are gluten-free, non-GMO, kosher, vegan, plant-based, and grain-free. These Cookie Bites come in three flavors: Double Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, and Lemon Almond, all of which contain sustainably sourced ingredients.
