Hannaford Supermarkets has announced the return of its Hannaford Helps Schools initiative to support more than 1,700 schools throughout New England and New York.
Until May 27, customers can purchase more than 800 affiliated items at all Hannaford stores and for every four Hannaford Helps Schools products purchased, customers will receive three “School Dollars” to support schools in their communities.
Customers can deposit their “School Dollars” online for donation to any participating school using the Hannaford Helps Schools app. Customers can also deposit their School Dollars in the in-store collection tower, where donations will be divided equally among participating schools.
“We’re pleased to welcome the return of Hannaford Helps Schools to support the schools and educators who work tirelessly to provide the best possible education for students,” said Caitlin Cortelyou, spokesperson for Hannaford, in a statement. “Shoppers have the opportunity to support not only local schools, but also schools outside their community, allowing them to benefit family and friends at schools across state lines.”
This year, Hannaford will also award $1,000 each to the top 200 fundraising schools.
Hannaford Helps Schools has raised more than $17 million for local schools in New England and New York.
