Female-founded snack company S’Noods won The Next Fairway Find pitch competition hosted by New York-based Fairway Market and Naturally New York, an organization that supports entrepreneurship and sustainability.
As part of its prize and depending on market fit, the brand could earn placement at four Fairway locations, three Gourmet garage stores, and 16 ShopRite locations in addition to off-shelf placements for one month. It could also receive marketing and distributor support, valued at $10,000.
"We are thrilled to be recognized as the winner of The Next Fairway Find contest and grateful for the opportunity to bring our product to the shelves of Fairway Market," said Lauryn Bodden, founder of S’Noods, in a statement. "S’Noods is an experience through the diverse world of noodles and sauces, and this recognition and partnership with Naturally New York and Fairway allows us to expand our reach and highlights the vibrant innovation happening in the New York and Tri-State area."
Founded by Lauryn Bodden after winning Netflix’s newest cooking competition show Snack vs. Chef in 2022, S’Noods is a crunchy pasta snack that comes in flavors including Cavatappi Carbonara, Rigatoni Basil Pomodoro, and Spicy Miso Ramen. The brand officially launched earlier this month.
"As champions of local businesses and innovative products, Naturally New York is proud to facilitate opportunities like The Next Fairway Find contest, where emerging brands can showcase their talents and gain valuable exposure. We’re excited to name S’Noods the winner and to witness their success as they join the esteemed lineup at Fairway Market," said Adrienne DeLisio, executive director of Naturally New York, in a statement.
Naturally New York and Fairway Market launched The Next Fairway Find contest in 2023, which enables brands to present their innovation in front of Fairway's panel of buyers. The event is a vehicle for change for local early-stage brands, many of which are minority and women-owned, as it opens doors to exposure and investment opportunities, said Naturally New York.
