Eartlier this week, DoorDash announced new ways for its users to discover popular and trusted local eats, the company said in a statement. The rollout includes review features and lists that help to narrow down which local restaurants and shops to choose from.
The new system includes the following:
• Most liked items—a new tag designation to eaters’ favorite items
• Written reviews—allowing restaurants and shoppers to see what’s working and what isn’t
• Top 10 lists—best nearby restaurants, ranked
• Most loved “all stars”—restaurants that offer tasty food with consistent services
“We’re always thinking about how we can make the shopping experience even more frictionless and relevant for our customers,” said Helena Seo, head of design at DoorDash, in a statement. “We’re excited for consumers to find the delight in discovering new restaurants and dishes, trusted, and loved by locals.”
Where the old platform only allowed general restaurant rating information, the new features allow the user to interact more deeply with each restaurant and item on the app.
