Since TikTok began amassing an international audience, instructional cooking videos have popped up and spread across the video-sharing social networking app with a strong Gen-Z and millennial user base of over 1 billion active monthly users.
Some cooking videos have gained enough popularity to become full-fledged TikTok trends, inspiring content creators across the world to create recipes for trending foods. Top 10 Prepared Meal Delivery analyzed the video view statistics of the top 10 trends, and found the following:

Cloud bread takes first place with 3.2 billion views. On July 27, 2020 user @linqanaaa created the first viral video of the three-ingredient egg recipe. The simplicity of this recipe speaks toward the general tendency for “TikTok-able” dishes to be relatively easy to make, with easy-to-access ingredients found at the average grocery store.
With the exception of birria tacos, all of the top 10 trends are vegetarian. According to the company’s insights, this phenomenon extends to the top 20 viral trends as well, many recipes of which are also vegan, like the carrot/vegan bacon trend which received 44.8 million views.
