BEK Foods, the company behind Boba Bam, an instant boba kit, has expanded its distribution beyond Costco U.S. to include Costco Canada, Sam’s Club U.S., and Aldi locations throughout California and Texas.
Boba Bam is a frozen instant boba kit that enables consumers to make a boba shop-quality drink at home in about a minute, according to the company. The idea was conceived during the pandemic when many boba shops were closed or had lengthy lines.
“AAPI month is the perfect time to announce our expanded national and international distribution,” said Bob Yau, the company’s Taiwanese-born founder and chairman, in a statement. “Not only is this impressive growth a pride-filled milestone for our company, but it illustrates the popularity of traditional Taiwanese boba and serves to celebrate the contributions of AAPI culture to the larger community.”
BEK Foods has sold more than 17 million boba drinks since Boba Bam’s introduction to the market in July 2021.
