Registration is now open for Good Food Makers 2022, an accelerator for food startups which aims to drive development of new sustainable food solutions. Promoted through the pasta brand Barilla and innovation platform Plug and Play, the program is seeking agro tech and food tech startups with forward-looking ideas.
Applications for the fourth annual Good Food Makers will close July 22. It seeks companies making progress in the following four areas:
• Agrotech innovation solutions that improve agronomic practices and management of quality and food safety
• Product and service solutions for improving pasta box delivery
• Sustainable production through use of artificial intelligence to reduce energy use
• Technological innovation that focuses on drying pasta and cooking baked goods to improve efficiency, quality, or provide new characteristics
The accelerator offers an eight-week program where startups work alongside Barilla’s managers to develop and test ideas. Four startups will also receive $10,000 to support the project implementation.
The program has already worked with over 400 startups who were all given the opportunity to co-develop their ideas with company managers.
