Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Markets opened its newest location in the Chicago area on Wednesday, reports Winsight Grocery Business. This is the Illinois-based retailer’s tenth location.
The 40,000-square-foot store features a selection of foodservice items, including soup, sushi, and sandwiches, in addition to standard grocery offerings. The store also showcases an extensive international section.
“There is definitely a call for our brand,” Robertino Presta, CEO of Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Markets, said. “We are more international and not just your cookie-cutter grocery store. We are local and that I think goes a long way too.”
The family-owned independent grocer relies on its differentiated assortment to grow during the current inflationary period, shared Presta. Full Story
