Aldi U.S. and Spryker Systems, a commerce platform have been working to develop an online grocery shopping experience involving grocery pickup and delivery for Aldi shoppers.

“Our partnership with Spryker will allow our shoppers another way to access the incredible value they expect from Aldi,” said Scott Patton, the grocer’s VP of national buying, in a statement.

The new digital commerce platform is being tested with a select group of U.S. customers and is planned to be rolled out nationally in a phased approach.

Aldi currently operates around 2,200 stores across a 38-state footprint.
