PRANZO ENTERS ITALIAN PACKAGED FOOD SPACE, MAKES DEBUT AT FANCY FOOD SHOW

Offering Italian-imported craft pastas, pasta sauces, olive oils, olives, chilis and more

MOONACHIE, N.J. (June 23, 2023) - Pranzo, a thrilling new entrant into the Italian packaged foods space, offering imported craft Italian-made pastas, pasta sauces, olive oils, olives, chilis and more at a competitive price point, today announces its debut this month, on June 25th, at the 2023 Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City. Spearheaded by two Italian-born founders, Nicholas Wooller and Alessandro Sità of W&S Foods Co., and each well-seasoned in the practice of bringing high-end consumer packaged goods to market, Pranzo specializes in making modern Italian food simple.

Offering Italian-sourced food products, most having never before been available in the United States, and all of which were specifically developed with the discerning American consumer in mind, Pranzo delivers Italian packaged food that is forward-thinking, easily understood and most importantly, delicious. Ease, simplicity, and top-tier quality together lie at the heart of Pranzo’s authentic and modern Italian food. Pranzo is now positioned to enter high-end grocers in major US markets in the coming months, providing a first-rate, non-GMO alternative to its more expensive competitors.

“At Pranzo, we believe in embracing simplicity without sacrificing quality: Italian food is meant to be enjoyed and not labored over,’ says Nicholas Wooller, Co-Founder, W&S Foods Co.. “To that end, our entire line of fine Italian products, many available for the first time to American consumers, are made from hand-selected ingredients, directly sourced from Italy, and selected first and foremost with our consumer in mind. When you choose Pranzo, you know you are getting a simple, modern Italian meal that everyone at the table will love.”

Wooller and Sità have spent several decades working in the food industry, and have together been collaborators since 2009 beginning at Grandi Pastai Italiani S.p.A. In 2018, with both now living in the United States and having diversified their entrepreneurial experience, the pair officially partnered to found W&S Foods Co. (formerly Nocca, Inc.). In short order, the company brought the acclaimed gnocchi brand, Nocca, to market in the United States. Pranzo was born in 2023 out of the two founders’ desire to allow American consumers the opportunity to experience authentic, Italian-imported packaged food at an affordable price.

“Making fine Italian food starts with the finest ingredients,” says Alessandro Sità, Co-Founder, W&S Foods Co.. “After years working in partnership with local Italian suppliers, and then sharing their products with the greater European market, it’s now time for the American consumer to enjoy such a rich Italian experience. From our pasta made with 100-percent Italian durum wheat milled on premise to pasta sauce consisting of sumptuous Italian-grown tomatoes, olive oil made with 100-percent Italian olives to Taralli crackers made with 100-percent Italian wheat and extra virgin olive oil, as well as hand-picked Calabrian chili peppers from southern Italy, Pranzo’s Italian products are entirely authentic and delectable.”

To celebrate Pranzo’s launch, Chef Leonardo Palazzo, an internationally trained chef-instructor at Eataly Flatiron, will be showcasing both Pranzo and Nocca products at the Fancy Food Show as he prepares a selection of Italian favorites for attendees, such as simple dinner ideas and much more.
