Portland Startup Spritz King’s New Spritzes Aim to Cure Epidemic of “Meatbarassment”

Portland, OR.  Sept. 5, 2024 --  Portland-based startup Spritz King is launching two exciting spritz flavors to save struggling backyard and kitchen chefs from serving up dry, flavorless food.   

“Spritzing is a hot trend, and we’ve created two premium spritzes with delicious flavors that make grilling, smoking and air frying simple and fun while delivering outstanding results,” said Toby Forsberg, founder of Spritz King.  “We’ve solved the epidemic of meatbarassment, and Spritz King spritzes are the cure.”

Spritz King’s debut products; Original Spritz and Chipotle Spritz, are all-natural, with carefully selected and crafted ingredients to maximize the “Maillard reaction” (the chemical reaction that boosts caramelization and flavor while increasing moisture).

The Original Spritz combines apple cider vinegar, apple juice concentrate, tamari, garlic, red peppers and dried tomatoes for a sweet and savory blend. The Chipotle Spritz marries those same natural ingredients with the addition of chipotle, cumin and other natural flavors for a bright, smoky and mildly spicy kick.  

Forsberg says, “Both product recipes were specifically designed by professionals to maximize moisture retention and boost flavors, while enhancing a crisp exterior. They work particularly well on food cooked in smokers and air fryers, but can be used on both raw and prepared foods using a myriad of cooking methods.”

Ingredients are all-natural, non-GMO and contain no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.
