Mental health advocate

Carolyn is aware of the impact of mental health struggles in this country. As a former special education administrator, she saw firsthand how the struggles with mental health can lead to homelessness, inability to work, felony charges with or without incarceration, and suicide.

Our mission is to create unique high-quality products for the everyday cook while supporting mental health awareness. We realize those coping with mental health may also have issues related to social justice.  Seeking and maintaining employment, at best, is difficult.  We began hiring those who otherwise had very little hope.  Herbert’s provides them an opportunity for success.

About Herbert’s

Herbert’s Wine Jelly, began in Carolyn’s kitchen in 2016, making wine jelly for her 92-year-old mother who wanted wine with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We began with developing a proprietary method to remove the alcohol to ensure state compliance. We expanded our product line to include multiple flavors of wine jelly, peanut butter spreads, herb dip/seasoning mix, and hot cocoa.
