DURHAM, N.C., October 1, 2024 – Seal the Seasons, an emerging brand in the frozen fruit category, is launching its latest addition to their growing Smoothie Kit product line.
Seal the Seasons is most known for their award-winning locally grown, locally frozen, and locally sold frozen fruit, such as frozen Organic Maine Wild Blueberries and Organic California Peaches.
By using locally family farmed frozen freestone peach slices from Michigan, California, South Carolina, Pennsylvania family farms in the newest Smoothie Kit, Seal the Seasons continues to advance the same mission of supporting local American family farms affirming their commitment to responsible sourcing.
The 24 oz Blue Spirulina Tropical Blend Smoothie Kit fills a product gap not currently served by current products in market. Blue Spirulina Smoothies have been frequently demanded by consumers, powered by popular internet mentions such as Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short N’ Sweet” smoothie collaboration with Erewhon and an array of blue smoothie bowls on TikTok and Instagram.
Co-Founder & COO Alejandro (Alex) Piasecki speaks on formulation and creation of the latest innovation “I took inspiration from top smoothie and juice bars around the world and set out to make a no-measure, easy to blend blue spirulina-enhanced tropical smoothie that looked and tasted great, while making no compromises on health benefits and nutrition, all while just needing to add water.”
Initial launch customers include Wegmans, Giant Co, Giant Foods, Lowes Foods, Central Market, and Nugget Markets.
“The Giant Food frozen team takes immense pride in pioneering the Maryland/DC market for frozen innovations. We are thrilled to continue this trend by partnering with Seal the Seasons to launch the Blue Spirulina innovation blend, making us one of the first grocers to offer this exciting new product.” said Greta Stankovich, the frozen category manager for Giant Foods.
“We’re proud at Nugget Markets to merchandise the top innovation from across the industry. We’re excited to make Blue Spirulina smoothies convenient for our guests shopping the frozen fruit category!” said Niko Ordway, Nugget Markets frozen category manager.
Seal the Seasons continues to be one of the leaders in the branded Smoothie Kit subcategory, showing strong dollars per store per week over all 4, 12, 24 and 52 week periods in both the MULO and the Natural Channel.
The company currently has 65+ unique local SKUs available – supporting over 70+ farms and utilizing over 12 freezing and packing sites across the United States.
