Charleston, SC., -- November 26, 2024 -- Bittermilk Bottling Co. is excited to announce the launch of two new products to their award-winning lineup of cocktail mixers, Espresso Martini and Bourbon Barrel Aged Manhattan. Bittermilk creates well-balanced cocktails that are equally convenient as they are high-quality.
These latest product innovations mark Bittermilk’s first new release in several years. The long-awaited debut reflects the brand's commitment to innovation and quality. Timed perfectly for the holiday season, the new mixers offer the ideal gift for cocktail enthusiasts and home entertainers alike. Whether crafting the perfect drink for a holiday brunch, enjoying a festive happy hour, or winding down with a signature nightcap, these mixers are designed to elevate every occasion.
A decadent and energizing take on the beloved cocktail, Bittermilk’s Espresso Martini mixer combines the bold, rich flavor of freshly roasted espresso with a subtle sweetness and the complex bitterness of cacao and vanilla. Created in collaboration with Second State Coffee and featuring SFA member, French Broad Chocolate’s Cacao Fines, this mixer delivers a smooth, frothy, and flavorful Espresso Martini with every pour. Ideally, the mixer is paired with vodka or rum for a flavorful cocktail.
“We’re proud to introduce this high-quality, bar-ready Espresso Martini mixer to the world,” said Joe Raya, co-founder of Bittermilk Bottling Co. “Crafting a great Espresso Martini at home can be difficult, but after lots of in-depth research and testing, we’ve made it easy to recreate the rich, velvety drink you’d expect from a top bartender.”
The Bittermilk Bourbon Barrel Aged Manhattan mixer reimagines the traditional cocktail by offering a bold and sophisticated flavor profile that blends the essence of sweet vermouth with bittersweet spices, red fruit, and oak. This mixer is based on Bittermilk’s noteworthy No.1 Bitter Formula, with a custom blend of roots, spices, and macerated golden cane sugar, providing depth and complexity to the iconic cocktail. Ideally, the Manhattan mixer is paired with rye whiskey (or bourbon for a more mellow taste) but also pairs wonderfully with other aged spirits such as brandy or rum. This mixer can also be used to craft a delightful non-alcoholic mocktail by combining it with soda water for a Manhattan Highball. For something different, users can pour the mixer overtop their favorite dessert such as vanilla ice cream with ripe red berries.
“Creating an authentic Manhattan flavor profile in a mixer took time and precision,” said MariElena Raya, co-founder of Bittermilk Bottling Co. “The combination of dealcoholized port wine, custom spices, and our No.1 Bitter Formula makes this mixer truly special. Whether you’re a whiskey enthusiast or just looking to enjoy an easy, sophisticated cocktail, this mixer delivers a rich, layered Manhattan every time.”
The Espresso Martini and Bourbon Barrel Aged Manhattan each retail for $18 and are available now. To learn more about the new mixers and other products from Bittermilk Bottling Co., recipes and more, visit www.bittermilk.com or @drinkbittermilk.
